OverlayBoost

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Boost it up ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of OverlayBoost ("Software"), collects, uses, and protects your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Boost it up is registered in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 License Information

When you activate your license, the following data is sent to our license provider (Creem.io):

  • License key
  • Machine identifier (hostname, OS, architecture — used to identify the device, not you personally)

2.2 Usage Analytics (Aptabase)

We collect anonymous usage data to understand how the Software is used and to improve it. This data includes:

  • App version
  • Operating system name and version
  • System locale
  • Events: app started, file uploaded (file count only, not file names or content), render started/completed/failed (codec, duration)

What we do NOT collect:

  • File names or file content
  • Personal information (name, email, IP address)
  • Keystrokes, screenshots, or screen recordings
  • Browsing history or data from other applications

Usage analytics are processed by Aptabase (EU region). Aptabase is a privacy-focused analytics platform that does not use cookies and does not track users across sessions. Data is stored in the EU.

2.3 Crash Reports (Sentry)

If the Software crashes, an automatic error report may be sent. This includes:

  • Error message and stack trace
  • App version and OS information
  • No personal data, no file content

Crash reports are processed by Sentry (sentry.io). We use the EU data region for Sentry data processing.

2.4 Update Checks

The Software periodically checks for updates by contacting GitHub (github.com). This request contains:

  • Current app version
  • Standard HTTP headers (IP address is processed by GitHub but not stored by us)

2.5 Payment Information

All payment processing is handled by Creem.io (our Merchant of Record). We do not directly collect, process, or store any payment information (credit card numbers, billing addresses, etc.). Please refer to Creem.io's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

3. How We Use Data

We use the collected data exclusively to:

  • Validate your software license
  • Improve the Software based on usage patterns
  • Fix bugs and crashes
  • Deliver software updates

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
